Discover the decorative technique of sgraffito in this focused 2-hour ceramic workshop. Working on prepared clay tiles, you’ll use underglazes, engobes, and carving tools to create layered designs by scratching through the surface to reveal the clay beneath.
This session is perfect for beginners and anyone curious about surface decoration. You’ll explore line, pattern, and contrast while learning how this traditional technique can create bold, graphic results.
Students are encouraged to bring ideas and printed images. These should fit a tile of around 15cm in diameter.
Extra small tiles may be provided for practice, or, if extra time allows, an additional piece during the workshop.

Beginners welcome
After the workshop, your pieces will be clear-glazed and fired by Clayground. They will be ready to collect approximately two to three weeks later.
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the course starts for a full refund. No refunds will be given when cancellations are made after this date. Students must attend all SCHEDULED class times. If a student misses a session, NO MAKE-UP CLASSES will be offered.
