How it works
There are just a few important things to know before booking a kiln with us:
- We only take bookings at least 1 month before your desired kiln firing date so please plan ahead
- We cannot rent half-kilns or other partial kilns. But you are welcome to find a friend to book a kiln with together to ensure you fill it. Kiln bookings may be limited or made unavailable at any time to allow for studio priorities.
- The glaze must be fully removed from the bottoms of all pieces.
- For experienced ceramists, you can choose the firing temperature and firing curve programming to suit your work
- For newer ceramists, you can simply tell us the max temperature of your clay and glaze, and we’ll help you decide which temperature to fire at
- Damage to kiln shelves & kiln furniture is your responsibility and may be charged at our discretion. Kiln shelves will need to be returned to their previous condition after use of the kiln.
- We will send you an invoice after your kiln firing, and you’ll pay by bank transfer
If you’re a very productive potter, artist, or want to get a batch of work fired together with friends, renting a kiln might be your best option for getting pieces fired altogether.
When you contact us, please tell us the following details about the kiln firing you need:
