Wheel Throwing Workshop – Gift Voucher for One

Give the gift of hands-on creativity. This two-hour wheel-throwing workshop is a relaxed and inspiring introduction to working on the pottery wheel—perfect for beginners and equally rewarding for those with some experience.

Guided by one of our experienced teachers, participants will learn the essential techniques of wheel throwing: preparing and centering clay, finding the right wheel speed, and pulling up walls to form a cylinder—the foundation of most ceramic pieces. Along the way, you’ll explore how to use pottery tools to shape and refine your work. Those with prior experience are welcome to use the session to practice and receive personalised tips to improve their technique.

All materials are provided, including clay, tools, aprons, glazing, and firing. Each participant can create up to two pieces, which will be glazed in one of three selected finishes and ready for collection approximately two weeks later. Workshops are held in small groups of up to five people, ensuring a supportive and hands-on experience.
