Five Week Session – Wheel throwing – Saturdays

Learn to throw cylinders, cups, and bowls.

Join us for an immersive, 5 session, intensive wheel-throwing course at Clayground Berlin! The classes will occur on Saturday mornings and end with a dedicated glazing day. It offers a focused experience for those looking to dive deep into the art of clay and wheelwork—ideal for anyone who may not have the time to commit to a 5-week course.

Designed for beginners and experienced potters, this course is kept small with only 4 participants, ensuring personalized guidance and ample time on the wheel.

Before booking, please read all details below about canceled bookings, and missing a class!

Here’s what we’ll do in each course session:

  • 18th January:  Students will learn the basic techniques to create bowls of different shapes.
  • 25th January: Trimming your cups and bowls – Participants will learn how to trim the bases of the pieces made during the last two sessions
  • NO CLASS ON 1st February: We bisque fire your pieces in the kiln for the first time
  • 8th February: Students will be taught basic glazing methods and will have the opportunity to glaze their pieces.
  • We fire your pieces in the second kiln after your glazing session to finish them
  • Items will be ready for collection 2-3 weeks after the workshop.
