Join us for a special evening workshop that combines the mystical world of alchemy with the decorative ceramic technique of sgraffito.
Led by two inspiring artists — Antonia, whose creative practice is rooted in the symbolism of alchemy, and Tiziana, a ceramicist who works daily with sgraffito — this 2-hour session invites participants to explore both concept and craft.
Antonia will begin with a brief introduction to alchemy, sharing insights and symbolic meanings. You’ll receive printed alchemic symbols for inspiration, or feel free to bring your own image (max A4 size). Books will also be available to browse for ideas.
Each participant will be provided with two pre-made ceramic slabs in different shapes. After choosing your slip colours, Tiziana will guide you through the process of transferring your chosen imagery and using the sgraffito technique — scratching back the surface to reveal the design.
All materials, tools, and firings are included. Your finished pieces will be coated in a transparent glaze and fired by us, ready for collection approximately two weeks later.
No experience necessary — simply bring your curiosity and creativity!

Snacks will be included. All materials, tools, aprons, and glazing services are included. Your pieces will be glazed and fired at our Clayground studio. These will be ready to collect around 2-3 weeks after the workshop.

About the artist, Antonia:
Antonia’s artistic practice is rooted in the medium of painting. It grows out of an ongoing experimental process that involves a multidisciplinary exploration of an artist’s world created by folklore and esoteric philosophy.
As cosmic demiurges, the environments they paint serve as the foundation upon which these worlds can evolve into three-dimensional existence. This is achieved by incorporating new technologies such as artificial intelligence, 3D modeling, and sewing to expand the possibilities contained in their cosmic compositions.
